Elimination Competition for Malvern Autumn Show 2024
NAFAS are looking for someone to represent NAFAS at Chelsea 2025. All Areas were invited to select a candidate to go the Malvern Autumn Show and compete to find a winner to go on to Chelsea next year. We held an elimination competition in June 2024 with the class title of 'Entangled', and three candidates took part, Jane Tully, Becca Morris and Jo Bradley. Congratulations go to Jane Tully with her winning entry, with Becca Morris as the reserve champion.
RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2024

Charity donation made by Malpas Flower Club
In January 2024 Malpas Flower Club Chairman, Janet Blake had great pleasure in presenting a cheque for £1,000 to the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) following their successful event "Pimms in the Garden” held last year by kind permission of The Bradshaw Family who kindly opened their garden gates to our members. Proceeds raised from the event were donated to MNDA in memory of Ronnie Blake who was a huge supporter of Malpas Flower Club. Ronnie was always there giving support, advice and lending a helping hand. Fun and Friendship with Flowers - 24 April 2023
It was so lovely to see our Area Shows and Events Officer/Area Vice-President Wendy Davis present at our first fundraising event of the year. Wendy had written a Flower Market play, but due to ill health was unable to take part. Janet Blake from Malpas volunteered to take over the role as event organiser and play producer, along with Kate Edwards.
The afternoon started with a glass of Buck’s Fizz and a toast to Wendy Davis wishing her a complete and rapid recovery. We were then entertained with a funny floral play and then each ‘flower’ talked about themselves and their floral friends - not always complimentary, but amongst all the frivolity we were entertained with 5 wonderful floral designs. Well done ladies. Then some lucky members won these designs in the raffle. The afternoon closed with a cup of tea, a wonderful array of cakes on posh cake stands and importantly a friendly chat with our many floral friends. We all had a lovely afternoon. Too many to mention in this Newsletter, but a huge thank you to everyone who helped to make this day happen and to make it, the success that it was. Thank you. Eleanor |

Judith and Sarah always try to encourage ALL standards, the objective being to enjoy a day with flowers and go away having learned something!
The day was much enjoyed by all including Judith and Sarah. The enthusiasm of the participants , and the work they produced, made it a worthwhile and fun experience. We demonstrated 2 designs. The photos are of the Parallels, a Hogarth curve was also achieved.
